WOD:
Complete AMRAP in 20 minutes of the following:
-12 push-ups
-9 pull-ups
-6 handstand push-ups
A little something to consider:
What is an honest push-up? An honest push-up moves from full extension to a point of maximum depth without “reaching” for the ground or breakng the body’s rigid, straight line posture and returning to full extension.
Common Faults:
-Sagging: dropping the stomach in an attempt to reach the ground
-Pikeing: sticking your booty up in the air
-Resting: coming to a stop on the ground
-Bouncing: self-explanatory
-Yogaing: head and neck lead, followed by the chest and then the stomach
-Shorting: not going all the way down or fully extending at the top
When the body fatigues one or a combination of these faults become common. Your challenge tomorrow: Work for honest push-ups in all your rounds.
Post number of rounds and quality of push-ups to comments.
LOL I love you guys.
Mike,
What a coincidence! Jill and I were selected to the honorable ranks of the “Royal Clan of Monkey Armed Goofs” when our kids were born!
I think Tabitha and Aaron have achieved an elite level “Monkey Armed” skillz!
Nice work POS!

Nice break from the legs… managed only to get 11 rounds, those damn HSPU’s are the speed bump for me.
Mike, nice work by you and your fellow Orangutan’s. I hope to be out there sooner than later to try and join your clan.
Hey! I could deadlift CJ if I wanted to!
Very hard WOD this morning. Now we will have sore upper bodies to match our sore lower bodies from yesterday.
CFI is coming along nicely! Love the warmups, especially the rope stuff.
I would just like to say that Cal, Michele, and I are on our way to becoming Monkey Royalty as we’ve successfully traversed the entire pull-up apparatus and are now finding new ways to travel across the thing.
POS! When are you going to be out here to join the Royal Clan of Monkey-Armed Goofs??
9 rounds (modified HSPUs on the wall for the last 3 rds) + 2 push ups. GREAT work to the “Sunrise Crew”. I can always count on you all for some early morning laughter/banter. Such a lively and fun bunch at that ridiculous hour! đ
After the WOD, we took a stroll around the block with KBs in each hand for some grip strength work. CJ humped his own bodyweight with the big boy kettebells (70#s in each hand). Nice work Coach!
