Introducing the Invictus Endurance Program
Written by Nuno Costa
We’ve offered our Invictus Endurance program in San Diego for over six years with major success, and now we are excited to offer our online community the same opportunity to join our Endurance program and take advantage of our coaching expertise. This running program will help improve endurance capacity and increase our athletes’ chances of competing at a higher level in the sport of fitness.
Most CrossFit athletes don’t have an endurance background and can benefit from building their aerobic capacity – their “engine.” Our running program is designed to be incorporated into your weekly training; we program three running sessions per week. The three workouts will have different focuses and you should choose which ones you do based on what you need most.
There will be a session that focuses on building your VO2 Max (think lower volume, higher intensity and longer rest periods). There will be a session that focuses on building your aerobic threshold (think more moderate intensity, time on your feet and improving your aerobic endurance). The third of the weekly sessions will focus on lactate threshold (think higher volume, longer intervals at higher ‘relative’ intensities where you will have less rest between reps and sets).
If you are just starting to incorporate running into your program then we suggest only doing two sessions per week until your body adjusts to the added volume, then add in the third running session once you get comfortable. This adaptation phase could be anywhere from one to three months depending on how you are responding to the training.
The goals of the Invictus Endurance program are to help you build your aerobic capacity and become a more efficient runner while improving your overall ability to do work. Athletes around the world are experiencing success in their CrossFit goals with this type of training. Our program is designed to help any athlete, regardless of age or athletic ability.
Our running program is available for only $29 per month. To enroll in the program, simply sign-up by clicking the link below!

Does the running program teach proper technique?
Hi, are the paces personalized like aerobic capacity? Will there be a database to track our times or do we record separately? Any sled work involved? I’m very interested. Any chance to view a sample week or have a trial?
Can definitely see some value in this. Running and Burpees suck! But, I am learning its apart of what you have to do if you want to be better.
Absolutely – please let me know if you have any questions about the endurance online program.
Thanks! I will probably sign up next week. Can really use something like this in my life! lol Was talking to some other people from the box about this as well.
Much easier to run with others, than having to do it on your own.
