Congratulations Are In Order!!!
Written by C.J. Martin
An amazing weekend has come to a close. This weekend marked the end of the 2012 CrossFit Games Open, and the end of our 2012 Look Good, Feel Good Challenge. I would like to congratulate everyone who participated in either or both of these challenges. Taking on challenges and competition allows you to test your outer limits and motivates you to achieve goals that seemed impossible. More than a handful of our fellow Invicti did just that . . .
Congratulations to the following winners of the 2012 Look Good, Feel Good Challenge:
- First Place – Chris Kanaar
- Second Place – Lacie Miller
- Third Place – Hunter Sill
We will share some of their experiences in the coming weeks and any helpful guidance they have for anyone out there looking to transform their physique in just 8 weeks, but all three of these participants (and at least a dozen others) saw results that can only be described as inspiring.
And a huge congratulations to the following Invictus coaches and athletes who earned a top 60 finish in the Open and qualified for the CrossFit Games Southern California Regional qualifiers in Pomona, California on May 11-13:
- Dave Lipson (who will be joining the Invictus coaching staff in mid-April)
- Nuno Costa
- Shane Farmer
- Nichole DeHart
- Katie McLaughlin
- Ayo Anise
- . . . and of course, Team Invictus – which finished 4th in Southern California
We have already reserved a large block of hotel rooms in Pomona and over the next several weeks will be providing you all with details of our plans to get as many of you as possible up to Pomona to cheer on all of our Invictus athletes. Team Invictus will be fighting for it’s fourth consecutive trip to the CrossFit Games . . . and we need the support of every one of you. If you haven’t been to one of these weekends, just ask someone who has. You do not want to miss out! Mark your calendars now!
Finally, I would like to congratulate the following amazing athletes with whom I have had the pleasure of working in preparation for the 2012 CrossFit Games Season:
- Aja Barto
- Andrew Killion
- Anthony Shefferly
- April Lowe
- Ashleigh Moe
- Camille LeBlanc-Bazinet
- Cheryl Brost
- Darren Ellis
- Drew Canavero
- Elyse Umeda
- Erica Livett
- Jenny LaBaw
- Larissa Costa
- Liz Burns
- Matt Barnett
- Michelle Kinney
- Mike Ford
- Noah Pester
- Scott McGee
- Sergio Alcantara
- Steve Howell
- Tarasa Barnett
- Taryn Romanowich
- Valerie Voboril
Each of them has qualified for their respective Regional qualifier and will be fighting for the chance to compete in the 2012 CrossFit Games at the Home Depot Center in July – with one exception . . . Mike Ford has already earned his spot to the Games with a 10th place finish in the Men’s Masters 45-49 division.
Congratulations to all of you!!!
Thanks CJ!!! I’m looking forward to seeing you and some of the sea if green here in Vancouver. Woot woot!!! Here’s to regionals.
Wow CJ!! That is quite an impressive list of athletes, both locally and now globally. Congratulations to everyone that competed. Now that the Open is done, time to move on to Regionals. A special congratulations to the winners of the Look Good Feel Good challenge because that is something I participated in. I cannot say enough good things about doing this. My husband is on board, and now Nichole’s brother is jumping in full force. Keep up the good habits everyone.
Congratulations to all that competed in the open.
I am in awe of those Invicti advancing to Regionals; those that coach us, those that train here, those Invicti that live elsewhere but are part of our community just the same.
Wow, is all I can say about the finalists in the Look Good, Feel Good Challenge. I hope your “before” pictures next year are even better than your “after” pictures this year. Keep up the good work and healthy life style.
Congrats everyone!!! GO TEAM INVICTUS!
Frikkin outstanding! Congratulations to everyone AND to you CJ! Fantastic buddy!
