I’ve been doing IF on and off since 2001. While there are definitely not a lot of studies, I have found a doctoral thesis written on it. You can find it on http://www.lift-heavy.com/intermittent-fasting/.

Most of the studies are for markers other than performance. They have measured changes in LBM, hormones, blood glucose, etc, but I have yet to see one strictly on performance.
